Size Guide

This 39 W, 34 inch ReptiSun 5.0 is made for enclosures around 3 feet (90 cm) long. Choose a UVB tube that covers about half to two-thirds of your tank’s length, so your reptile can move in and out of the UVB zone. Always match the tube to your fixture – a T5 HO tube will not fit a T8 fixture, and a 34 inch tube needs a 34 inch fixture.

Turtle Tank Light Setup

Fit the ReptiSun 5.0 in a 34 inch T5 HO light fixture, ideally one with a reflector.
Mount it above the basking area, where your turtle spends time out of the water.
Keep it above a mesh lid or open top – glass and plastic block UVB.
Pair it with a basking heat lamp, so your turtle gets both warmth and UVB in the same spot.
Run the light for 10–12 hours a day on a timer.
Replace the tube every 12 months, as UVB output fades even while it still looks bright.
