Size Guide

This 39 W, 34 inch ReptiSun 10.0 is made for enclosures and tortoise tables around 3–4 feet (90–120 cm) long. Choose a UVB tube that covers about half to two-thirds of the enclosure length, so your reptile can move in and out of the UVB zone. Always match the tube to your fixture – a 34 inch T5 HO tube needs a 34 inch T5 HO fixture and will not fit a T8 fixture. For smaller enclosures around 2 ft, choose the 24 W, 22 inch size.

Reptile UVB Light Setup

Fit the ReptiSun 10.0 in a 34 inch T5 HO fixture, ideally one with a reflector.
Mount it above the basking area, within about 20 inches (51 cm) of where your reptile basks.
Glass and plastic block UVB completely, so never place the lamp behind them. It can be used above a screen cover.
Pair it with a basking heat lamp so your reptile gets warmth and UVB in the same spot.
Run the light for 10–12 hours a day on a timer.
Replace the tube every 12 months, as UVB output fades even while it still looks bright.
