Important Usage Notes

Mercury vapor bulbs work differently from ordinary heat bulbs:
Do not use with a dimmer or on/off thermostat – these can damage the bulb. Use a simple timer instead.
After switching off, let the bulb cool for about 10 minutes before switching it on again.
Keep the bulb at a safe distance from the basking spot – follow the distance guide on the pack.
Keep water and splashes away from the hot bulb.
Replace every 12 months, as UVB output fades over time.

PowerSun Setup

Use a dome lamp fixture with a ceramic socket rated for at least 100 W.
Mount it above the basking area at the distance shown on the pack.
Place it at one end of the enclosure so your reptile has a cooler side.
Check the basking temperature with a thermometer.
Run it for 10–12 hours a day on a simple timer.
