Turtle Basking Lamp Setup

Use only in a reptile dome or clamp lamp fixture with a porcelain (ceramic) socket rated for at least 75 W – never a plastic socket.
Place it above the basking dock, securely out of your turtle’s reach.
Aim for a basking spot of about 32–35°C, and check it with a thermometer.
Adjust the height of the lamp or use a thermostat or dimmer to fine-tune the heat.
Splashproof doesn’t mean waterproof – never let the lamp touch or fall into water.
Switch it off at night. For night heat, use a Zoo Med Ceramic Heat Emitter.
Use it alongside a UVB light, such as the Zoo Med ReptiSun, since this lamp gives UVA but not UVB.
